General information
Dental bridges are
false teeth used to
fill gaps where a
tooth has fallen out
in order to improve
the look and function
of the teeth.
Teeth can fall out
due to disease, decay
and physical trauma,
but bridges can be
inserted to reconstruct
a persons smile and
make sure that they
dont suffer any of
the negative effects
associated with tooth
loss.
Dental bridges are
most effective for
people who have only
a few missing teeth
because when they
are inserted they
are usually anchored
to surrounding natural
teeth.
Fixed bridges are
the most common type
of bridge. When this
type of bridge is
inserted the two surrounding
teeth must be affixed
with crowns to hold
it in place.
If your fixed bridges
are well constructed,
then they should appear
entirely natural,
and restore function
to the area.
